Shop Policy

Thank you for visiting my shop, you’re always welcome!
Most of all the items in my shop are hand crafted and/or hand-painted by me with my original artwork. This process for me goes like this: first I think of an object I want to make, then I try to imagine outfits that include that object and a print that would best fit in those outfits. Then I make the pattern, cut the fabric and paint it. Many items take a few days to paint because of the large painted areas and the fact that the first layers have to dry before I paint the next layers of color. I only use Maimeri water-based paints, which need to dry for 24 hours and are then fixed into the fabric by ironing for 5 minutes at hot temperature.
I will try my best to make every creation you order very similar to the one featured on the site. Still, there will be small differences between the picture and the object that you will receive, because I will not always find the same fabric, nor obtain the exact same shade of color on two different creations. I like to mix the colors, I don’t use them directly from the tube, so there will be slight differences, but that’s what makes an object unique and special. I always use quality fabrics and paints, because I put in a lot of time and passion working on every item and I want it to look its best so that you can love and enjoy it for a long time. Oh, that and the fact that I’m a perfectionist! 🙂

Returns and Exchanges

I hope you will be pleased with your purchase, but if you wish to make a return please email me. If you changed your mind and want to cancel your order, please request a cancellation within 3 hours of purchase. 

I attempt to describe and photograph each listed item as accurately as possible. If you have any question about an item or need additional photos please do not hesitate to contact me for additional photos or item description.

In order to apply for a refund or exchange in the case of maker’s defect or shipping damage please contact me directly within 14 calendar days of confirmed delivery of your order, with photos of defect or shipping damage. In the case of shipping damage, all packaging must be retained and an affidavit of said damage is required by the postal inspectors in order for an insurance claim to be filed with the postal service or insurer.

I will refund the item’s price once the item is returned and deemed to be in a resalable condition, provided it is returned to me within 30 business days of receipt, postage paid. Always ask for a Proof of Posting Certificate because I will need a copy if the parcel gets lost in transit. I do not refund the transportation costs.

Please note that the customer cannot request a refund/exchange of an item that is no longer in the same condition it was when it was sent out.

I always send packages with tracking number. Please keep in mind that the postal services consider that a package is lost after 60 business days for international orders, so please be patient!

I can’t accept returns for items on sale.

Payment

This shop accepts payments through PayPal. For clients based in Romania, I offer the possibility to pay upon delivery at the Post Office.

You can pay via PayPal without having a PayPal account. If you are new to PayPal, you will go through an alternate checkout, and will have the option to sign up afterward.

Here’s how this easier checkout works: Customers enter their name and shipping address. They’re prompted for their credit card, email address, and phone number. (Optional) After reviewing their information, they may choose to save their information by creating a PayPal account to make future transactions faster.

Customers who already have PayPal accounts will continue to enjoy the privileges of those accounts. Please note that PayPal’s fraud prevention measures remain in effect for buyers who use this checkout.

For ready-to-ship items: your order will be shipped in 1-3 business days after receiving your payment.
For made-to-order items: your item will be crafted in 3-10 days (check the item’s description, longer periods refer to larger or complex items) after receiving your payment. After an item is finished it will be shipped in 1-3 business days.

For international orders: any applicable customs fees, duties, and taxes such as VAT imposed by the laws of your country cannot be calculated or included in shipping charges by the sender. They are only payable and due upon receipt as the sole responsibility of the buyer/recipient. You can check with your local post office to find out if such charges apply.

Shipping and Delivery

A. SHIPPING

1. Shipping time

All orders are sent from Romania and will be shipped world-wide via the Romanian Post services and International Air Mail, always with tracking number.
For ready-to-ship items: your order will be shipped in 1-3 business days after receiving your payment via PayPal.
For made-to-order items: your item will be crafted in 3-10 days (check the item’s description, longer periods refer to larger or complex items) after receiving your payment. After an item is finished it will be shipped in 1-3 business days.
Be sure to check the manufacturing time for each item before ordering. It’s stated in the description of each product.

2. Shipping address

The item will be shipped to the address you provide at checkout. Please make sure that is the address you expect the item to be shipped to. If you provide an incorrect shipping address, you order is not refundable if lost. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to provide accurate shipping addresses when they purchase any items.

B. DELIVERY

1. Delivery costs

Delivery costs will be calculated at the checkout once you have entered your delivery country. The costs are based on the weight and size of your order. Please add the items to your shopping cart and select the destination country for the total delivery costs.

2. Delivery time

If you haven’t received the package or a notice within 3 weeks, please call your local post office and ask if they have your package.
Please be aware that some orders may be delayed at Customs or due to the busy holiday season.

Estimated delivery time:
– Europe: 5-10 business days
– Rest of the world: 10-20 business days

Please contact me if your order has not arrived within 30 business days of payment.

Please make sure you have read the shop announcement and delivery information before purchasing. Any holiday last postage dates or changes to expected delivery times will be posted here.

IMPORTANT NOTE: transit times are calculated since the date I send you an email to let you know that your order has been posted.

Additional policies and FAQs

Every item is wrapped individually in thin tissue paper and tied with ribbon, then inserted in a box together with your receipt. If you want me to send your item to someone special as a gift, please mention that in a comment and I will send the package without the receipt.

Please be aware that sometimes orders may be delayed at Customs or due to the busy holiday season or special conditions, like extreme weather.

Care instructions

The hand-painted items should be hand washed at 30 degrees Celsius and ironed at medium temperature or high/cotton temperature if you use a protective cloth (actually you could iron the painting at cotton temperature with no problem, but the thread I use is usually polyester thread and it might melt). If you are using a powerful steam iron (steam ironing station), use a cloth to protect the painting because the extremely hot steam might damage it.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I always wrap my items in white tissue paper, tied with satin ribbon. I add a business card and a hand-painted thank-you note, then I insert all of them in a simple box.
